DWTS Bonus: Fashion Review?

WTF with your costumes on the finale, Shawn and Melissa? There have been some fashion faux pas in the past, but when you make it to the finale show, don’t you want to go out with at least some of your self-respect still intact?

First up, Shawn. Now, I’ll give her props for winning by talent alone, because these costumes certainly didn’t help:

high-waist old man pants + suspenders + polka-dot bra (and yes, I am aware that you can’t see it well in this picture)

Tom Bergeron called this look ‘Vegas Bankrobbers’. The first things that come to my mind are ‘Serial Killers’ and ‘Racism Lawsuit…?’. Either way, WHAT WERE THEY THINKING??

Alright, now on to the real culprits: Melissa and Tony, each equally guilty of costume crimes:

It’s my personal theory that Melissa pulled this out of the wardrobe of a part-time Vampiress… or is it Vampira?… hmmm I’ll have to look that up.

Here, Tony went for the popular ‘gay nightclub’ look, while Melissa has opted to go back in time and recapture the ‘hot, but also strong and independant’ female rapper look that was so popular in 1992.
